M.I.A. announces new album 'A.I.M.,' shares latest single/video  "Go Off"

M.I.A. will release her fifth studio album, titled A.I.M., on Interscope Records September 9th. The set will feature her brand-new single, “Go Off,” which is out today. The track was produced by Skrillex and frequent M.I.A. collaborator Blaqstarr. The single is available for digital download and streaming via all participating digital retailers.

An accompanying video for “Go Off” premieres today, July 15th, on Vevo and was directed by M.I.A.

“Go Off” is the second track to be released from M.I.A.’s upcoming fifth studio album which will be out on Interscope Records September 9th. The previous single and video, the politically charged “Borders,” addressed the refugee crisis and the current global state of affairs — a topic that M.I.A., who escaped the violence of a civil war in Sri Lanka to come to London as a small child, has been vocal about throughout her career and will continue to touch on in her new album. The “Borders” video has racked up more than 2.7 million views on YouTube.
