Leif Vollebekk Releases New Single

Leif Vollebekk Releases New Single, '"All Night Sedans"

Montreal singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Leif Vollebekk has unveiled, “All Night Sedans”, the third song from his forthcoming album Twin Solitude (Feb 24/Secret City Records). The new single was released today via Rolling Stone France.

Like many songs on Vollebekk’s new record, “All Night Sedans” was inspired by small but impactful vignettes from a life on the road: a sign on a Florida highway, a moment in a favorite TV show, an impassioned Kate Bush listening session. Vollebekk wrote Twin Solitude as he was re-calibrating after a time where his own songs just didn’t feel right to him. Opening himself up to the beauty in these small moments proved to be an effective remedy, the bulk of Twin Solitude came to him in just one sitting.

Leif released his break-through sophomore album North Americana in 2013, and since then has performed at the Newport Folk Festival and shared stages with Daniel Lanois, Beth Orton, Sinéad O’Connor, Patrick Watson, Coeur de Pirate, William Fitzsimmons and Sam Amidon.

Vollebekk’s 2017 international tour will start February 28 at NYC’s Mercury Lounge and includes European dates with Colorado folk artist Gregory Alan Isakov this Spring. New North American dates have been added for May.
