Laetitia Sadier kicks off her North American tour in support of her new solo album, Silencio (out now on Drag City), this weekend in Chicago. It’s fitting that Laetitia brings the political messages of Silencio to Chicago, where public school teachers are currently on strike, first. Laetitia previously toured the states as a solo act supporting Beirut prior to the release of Silencio. Drummer James Elkington and bassist Julien Gasc, who both worked on Silencio, join Laetitia onstage, marking the first Laetitia Sadier tour with a full band.
