Jen Cloher announces self-titled album "Jen Cloher," releases new video

Australian singer-songwriter Jen Cloher is set to release a new, self-titled album August 11 on Milk! Records, co-owned by Cloher and her wife Courtney Barnett. This is Cloher’s fourth album and first since 2013’s In Blood Memory. The record was recorded in Australia and mixed at Loft Studios in Chicago, run by Jeff Tweedy of Wilco fame. It features Barnett on guitar and rhythm section Bones Sloane and Jen Sholakis. The album includes tracks dealing with themes of privilege, self-care, and Cloher’s Maori heritage.

Her tour includes dates with Barnett, who also garnered acclaim for her latest album Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit, as well as singer-songwriter Kurt Vile.
