Isle of Light, the first festival of its kind to take place in the Dominican Republic and now in it’s second year, is excited to share next year’s lineup including headlining electro-funk duo Chromeo and LA indie rock band Warpaint. International acts Soul Clap, WhoMadeWho and Walking Shapes will join local acts TangoWhiskyMan and Auro Sonico on the one-day festival held on March 7th 2015.
Isle of Light is hosted in Santo Domingo’s historic “Old Colonial Zone” under the historic harbor light house, transforming the Rio Ozama shoreline into a unique and intimate festival experience. Art and music all come together to bring a culturally diverse crowd to one of the most beautiful cities in the Caribbean. Last year’s fest featured Twin Shadow, The Juan Maclean, Pompeya and Legowelt playing to over 3000 fans. Isle of Light was started by No Shame Records founder Marco Vicini and Luis Betances from the Dominican Republic, and Phil Hoelting and Morgan Lebus from the United States.
The festival is offering tiered ticket pricing, with general admission, NOVA VIP and SUPERNOVA VIP. SUPERNOVA is ideal for international travelers, providing airport and island transportation, and guaranteed access to special events ranging from island excursions, private parties and popup dinners, plus more all to be announced in the weeks leading up to Isle of Light.
