Day wave releases hilarious “Stuck” video

Day wave releases hillarious "Stuck" video

With the recent release of Day Wave’s Hard To Read EP. A new fan has emerged, and has stood out: Blink 182’s Mark Hoppus. Spoofing THIS viral video – a Catholic priest’s geeked-out reaction to the new Star Wars trailer – Day Wave and Hoppus have teamed up with Ryan Baxley (FIDLAR, Twin Peaks, Kate Nash) on this hilarious music video for “Stuck.”

Mark Hoppus first discovered Day Wave. through his song “Drag”. A Twitter friendship between the two artists blossomed, and months later Hoppus agreed to participate in the “Stuck” music video…for free. Also on board for free? The video director, Ryan Baxley, who was inspired by “Fr. Roderick watches the Star Wars trailer” and decided to make a similar reaction video with “Stuck.” Baxley made Hoppus a super secret (and super acid trip-y) video to watch while filming, and – less than 2 hours and 5 takes later – the “Stuck” video was born.

Hard To Read was performed, produced, mixed and mastered by Day Wave directly to tape, and the result is a beautiful 5-track EP bursting with California sunshine. Hard To Read is available for purchase now, packaged as a combined physical release with last year’s Headcase EP.
