clipping. share “Story 2” Video, update tour

We’re pretty sure that clipping’s “Story 2” contains more time signature changes and metric modulations than any other rap song ever recorded. The standout track from CLPPNG, their Sub Pop debut, is now the subject of an intense new video, helmed by returning director Cristina Bercovitz (“bout.that,” “bulls***”).

clipping’s previously announced late summer tour will kick-off next week with a performance on Friday, August 1st in Katowice, PL at the OFF Festival on the Sub Pop-curated “Experimental Stage.” Additional shows for the month include: August 8th in Los Angeles at Perhspace; August 15th in London, UK at ATP’s Jabberwocky Festival; And an US east coast run August 21st-23rd supporting labelmates Shabazz Palaces.

clipping. will then embark on their fall tour beginning September 4th in Baltimore, MD at The Metro Gallery and ending September 16th in Phoenix, AZ at Trunkspace. Please find a complete list of tour dates below.

clipping.’s CLPPNG is now available worldwide via Sub Pop. The album is led by the singles “Work Work” (feat. Cocc Pistol Cree) and “Body & Blood,” along with highlights “Tonight” (feat. Gangsta Boo), “Summertime” (feat. King T), and “Or Die” (feat. Guce). CLPPNG was produced by the group, mixed by Steve Kaplan and mastered by Brian “Big Bass” Gardner at Bernie Grundman Mastering in Los Angeles.
