Axis: Sova Shares “Dictator of a Flower”

Axis: Sova Shares "Dictator of a Flower" single, and Announces new tour dates.

A complexion of unrefined riffs, hazy vocals, amp scuzz, and drum machines, Axis: Sova’s second full-length album, Early Surf is a spiraling guitar symposium helmed by Brett Sova. Having already unleashed “Fractal Ancestry,” he now shares “Dictator of a Flower,” a song that revels in the crippling effects of high anxiety. Propelled by a robo-chugging axe riff, “Dictator of a Flower” lurches forward like a cyborg on the nod.

Already an expert in home-recorded, headphone pleasure, the Axis: live experience sunburns the total mind with vivid guitarisms, fully gone off. Brett (guitar, vocals) will be joined by Tim Kaiser (guitar) and Tyson Torstenson (bass) on tour; nodding in agreement, Axis: Sova has become a full band! Early Surf is officially released on February 17th through Ty Segall’s Drag City imprint, God? Records.
