Animal Collective is happy to announce the Monkey Been to Burn Town remix EP, set for release on 12” vinyl and digital release via Domino on May 28th. Drawing from the band’s latest record Centipede Hz, the EP features remixes of “Monkey Riches” by Gang Gang Dance’s Brian Degraw, Chicago Juke producer Traxman and New York underground dance producers Teengirl Fantasy, as well as a remix of “New Town Burnout” by Seattle based hip-hop collective Shabazz Palaces. The band is also set to head back out on the road this summer for a North American tour. In addition to previously announced dates, Animal Collective has also revealed a new Portland, ME date on July 11th. Tickets for this new show go on sale Friday. These shows come in addition to the band’s previously announced festival appearances at Bonnaroo, Governors Ball, Forecastle, and more.
