Anenon streams ‘Camembert’ EP

Anenon joins the Friends of Friends family, streams new EP 'Camembert', preps new full-length album, to be released in early 2016

Anenon is the project of Brian Allen Simon, a Los Angeles based saxophonist, producer, artist, RBMA Madrid alum and Non Projects record label owner. He occupies the gray area between jazz, classical, ambient and electronic musics, taking elements of these styles and creating his own, hybrid sound.

Anenon has joined the influential label Friends of Friends, releasing his Camembert EP with the label, and prepping his 3rd studio LP to drop early 2016.

Since its inception, Friends of Friends has been a hub for forward thinking Los Angeles producers, and Anenon fits right into the fold, which includes artists like Shlohmo, Salva, Jerome LOL, Deru, Perera Elsewhere and many others.

Camembert is an exercise in jazz improvisations and the musical equivalent of a sigh of relief. As Anenon writes to Self-Titled in a track-by-track breakdown of the EP, Camembert is “all about letting go and exerting little to no control over each sound, letting each layer do what it needed to do”. Instrumentation on the EP includes tenor sax, violin, bass clarinet and electronics.
